James Dawson is immensely proud to have been awarded the Caterpillar Supplier Excellence award.
The award is presented to suppliers in recognition of achieving excellent process control and a desire for ongoing continuous improvement whilst providing a quality product.
As a supplier of Organic & Silicone hoses for over 150 years and James Dawson has been supplying Caterpillar for over 20 years, providing specialist hoses for their off-highway vehicles.
The bronze award required that James Dawson achieve a variety of goals set by Caterpillar including achieving only 300 defects per million products supplied, as well as several other benchmarks.

James Dawson are honoured to be a Lincolnshire based manufacturer and are one of the county’s biggest exporters, with approximately 70% of products being shipped to overseas customers from Europe to the US. The manufacturing sector contributes over £4 billion to the Greater Lincolnshire area which is approximately 20% of its economic value. James Dawson & Fenner Precision employs over 200 people over two sites in Lincoln. James Dawson was acquired by Fenner Precision Polymers in 1973 which was then bought by Michelin in 2018.
